The Plugable UD-MSTH3’s compatibility is its one and only trade-off. The dock is compatible with laptops running on Windows 10/11 or newer ChromeOS systems and requires a USB-C, USB4, or Thunderbolt port that supports video output.

Because its MST technology is native to Windows and ChromeOS but not available on macOS, the UD-MSTH3 is designed and optimized specifically for those platforms. Mac users can still connect the dock, but will see one extended display, with any additional monitors mirrored rather than extended.
